Glenda Lou Hubacek went to dance with the angels on the morning of July 16, 2023. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Lucas Funeral Homes – 1321 Precinct Line Road Hurst, Texas 76053.
Glenda was born to Clayton Weldon Causey and Waunema Hart Causey, alongside her identical twin sister Brenda, on August 26, 1946, in Greenville, Texas. She learned how to play the piano at Park Street Baptist Church and was a delight to listen to as she progressed. Glenda graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas, Texas then continued to take child development courses and CNA certification classes.
On September 4th, 1964, she married the love of her life, George Lee Hubacek, at Elam Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Throughout the years of their marriage, they enjoyed many adventurous travels, church service opportunities, expanding their family and building their ultimate dream home in Big Sandy, Texas where they would spend the rest of their days.
She pursued many occupations throughout her lifetime such as being the secretary at Elam Baptist Church, a CNA in the labor and delivery unit and taught Sunday school to young children for over twelve years. However, the job she loved most was being a mother and later a grandmother. Her heart and soul were satiated to the fullest when she was surrounded by family.
Those left to cherish her memory is her sister, Brenda Hubacek; children, Clayton Lee Hubacek, Christopher Dee Hubacek and Candace Dyanne Kocurek (husband, Gregory Kocurek). Grandchildren, Brandi, Patrick, Lauren (husband, Adam), Daniel (wife, Chey), Hailey and Ashton. Great Grandchildren, Lily, Layla and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Waunema Causey, husband, George Lee Hubacek and brother, Roger Causey.
Our Beloved Mom – Mimi, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, teacher – will be dearly missed. We will carry your memory in our hearts, always.
