Born in India to missionary parents, Carl Erickson and Violetta Case he moved back to USA with his mother after the death of his father when he was in his teens. He bacame an ordained Nazarene minister when he met and married his wife, Violet Aloha Stevens in Twin Brooks, South Dakota. while preaching at 2 small churches on the weekend also took watchmaking and repair apprentiship during the week...which later became his lifetime vocation...working and owning jewelry stores in Wheaton, MN, Ortonville, MN and Valley City, ND. He helped found the Minnesota Watchmakers Assn, serving as Secretary and President of the Assn. He was a member of the Minnesota National Guard before, during and after WWII. After joining the Catholic Church he taughtnewlywed and new member classes at St. Catherines Church in Valley City , North Dakota. He moved to Simi Valley, CA after retirement. Vic loved people, good food (he was a gourmet cook ), and a good joke......and was always ready with a helping hand and a big smile.
