Janell Denton Holliday, 69, of 117 Denton Road, wife of Rabon W. Holliday, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at her home. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late J.W. and Jessie Nalley Banks. Mrs. Holliday was retired from Southern Weaving, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Easley. Surviving are three daughters, Debra Garrison, Patricia and Richard Galloway, and Geralene Murphree, all of Easley; four sons, Hulon Denton of Easley, Bryan and Angela Holliday and Daron and Angela Holliday, all of Liberty, and Scott and Jane Holliday of Easley; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Bell and Gladys Garrett, both of Easley; and five brothers, Walter G. Banks of Travelers Rest, Clyde Banks and Charles Banks, both of Easley, Lloyd Banks of Portalis, N.M., and Curtis "Jr." Banks of Anderson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holliday was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald H. Denton, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Easley, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Flowers accepted, or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the home.
