Dawn Rummel, 54, a resident of Shell Lake, WI died on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, with her family by her side in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dawn was born March 20th, 1968, in Spooner Wisconsin to Clarence and Clarice. With their help, she became a great bartender, an incredible cook, and one of the most generous people you could have ever meet.

She was known as one of the best bartenders wherever she worked, whether it be her dad's bar in Sarona, her daughter's bar in Shell Lake, or most recently at Rae's Bar and Grill in Shell Lake. Many of her customers came in just to visit with her, or get a bowl of her home made soup.

However, she is better known for being a wonderful mom to her children. She passed along the same skills she learned from her parents, and her kids remember all of their moments getting to cook with her. You couldn't have a conversation with Dawn without hearing about how proud she was, and how much she loved her kids.

She is survived by her two children, Rich (Breanna) Quinton and Cassidy Quinton, her siblings and their spouses, Ronald (Judy) Rummel, LeRoy (Becky) Rummel, Karen Kohl, Cathy Bednar, Susan (Gary) Johnson, Michael (April Coyle) Rummel, her stepfather, Michael Linton, and her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Rummel and Clarice Linton, and her sisters, Sharon Jerry and Roxanne Tabb.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, July 1st at the Spooner Funeral Home with visitation prior from 1-3pm. Interment will be held at the Shell Lake Cemetery after the service and followed by a celebration of life at Rummel's Tap in Sarona, WI.
