Tom was a graduate of Troy High School. He was united in marriage to Mary Lee Bailey on March 17, 1974, at First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. Together, they enjoyed almost 50 years together.
Tom retired from Marksmen Cab where he was a driver. He had also worked at Tell City Chair, Tell City Coca-Cola Plant and was a school bus driver for Tell City schools. For over 20 years, Tom was proud to have the opportunity to run the Tell City Babe Ruth Baseball League, often making it a family affair by having everyone pitch in to help. He also coached Little League, Pony League and Babe Ruth.
In his down time, Tom could be found fishing, listening to Elvis, watching westerns, especially ones that starred Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He was a member of Tell City First Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Mary Lee Aldridge, Tell City; children, Alese Aldridge (Dave J. Fischer), Cloverport, KY, Brad Aldridge (Diane), Cloverport, KY, Bob Graham (Cyndi), Chrisney and Cathy Powell (Dave), Cannelton; sisters, Sue Miller, Tell City and Frieda Lewis, Tell City; grandchildren, Stephanie Kline, Arika "Bull" Seibert (Ryan Patmore), Brook Aldridge, Chase Aldridge (Krystal), Kirsten Eskridge Perkins, Aaron Eskridge (Julia Salmon), Jason Graham, Jessi Mullen (Jed) and Bailey Powell and several great grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Otto, Sr and Lula Aldridge; son, Tim Aldridge; siblings, Otto, Jr., Jim and Bob Aldridge, Evelyn Treece, Joyce Richard and Jody McLain.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. CDT on Saturday, July 22, 2023 Pastor Dan Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time.
