Cimarron - Hazel Davidson, 91, died Feb. 24, 2008, at her home in Cimarron.

She was born Jan. 21, 1917, on a farm north of Ingalls to Alvin H. and Bertha Crick Hewes. She attended the Ingalls school system, graduating from high school in 1935. A lifetime resident of Gray County, she was a homemaker and worked at A. H. Hewes elevator in Ingalls.

She belonged to the United Methodist Church, Cimarron.

On Dec. 18, 183, she married E. A. "Jack" Davidson in Meade. He died.

Survivors include: two sisters, Audrey Strawn, Ingalls, and Alene Fisher, Leoti; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a son-in-law.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta; three brothers, James, George and Rex Hewes; a sister, Rachel O'Neal; and a grandson, Jeremy Schmidt.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cimarron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kent Little presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Burial will follow in Cimarron Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Cimarron United Methodist Church or to Hospice of the Prairie, in care of the funeral home.
