Mr. Arnold Henry ""Arnie"" Johnson, 55 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro. He was born June 26, 1955 in Germany to Raymond and Helna Leimser Johnson. He served his country in the US Army and was retired from RJR following 29 years of service. He loved traveling, skiing and cooking. He was a dedicated father and husband. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Tracy Johnson; two sons, Nathanial Johnson and Erik Johnson; his mother, his sister, Joe Ann Springings; his brother, Donald Johnson; his nieces and nephews and other relatives and special friends. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held Friday at 5:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Paul Jagoe officiating. The family requests casual dress. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Cancer Institute, Office of Development, DUMC 3828, Durham, NC 27710 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
