Irene Sims, 59, Springdale, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 1983 at Springdale. She was born Oct. 5, 1923 at Marble, the daughter of Noble S. and Cora Watson Tice. She was married to Roy Sims on July 25, 1941. Her husband and two sons, Leroy and Carroll Steven, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Luther G. Tice. She was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, James Dale Sims of Springdale; four daughters, Mrs. J. C. (Magrie) Eagle of Berryville, Mrs. Vernon (Louella) Reedy of Albany, Ill. and Doris Barnard and Virginia Anderson both of Springdale; four brothers, Raymond, William K., Harl E. and Zelbert L. Tice, all of Springdale; four sisters, Mrs. Orlan (Dorothy) Strode and Mrs. Jack (Loretta) Curtsinger both of Springdale and Mrs. Eugene (Kathryn) Bohannon of Marble and Mrs. William (Verlene) Walker of Lynn, Mo.; 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the Nelson Chapel in Berryville with Mr. Don Waford and Mr. Wendall Lang officiating. Burial was in the Plumlee Cemetery under direction of the Nelson Funeral Service.
