Robert William Hartnett, 84, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. Born premature at St. Anne Hospital, Bob fought hard and was released one and a half months later to relieved and overjoyed parents who had lost their oldest child, Evelyn Marie, to a crib death. Bob grew up on the northside of Chicago; attended St. Henry's Grade School, St. George H.S. and Nicholas Senn H.S. Later, Bob served in the Army overseas in Korea from 1959-1960.

Bob was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs; spent time playing league 16" softball, but mostly enjoyed the time spent with family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosalie Lawrence Hartnett; his parents, Charles Jerome Hartnett and Evelyn Reta (O'Connor) Hartnett; and siblings, Evelyn Marie and Charles Jerome, Jr.
