A native of Buncombe County, she was the wife of Lindsey W. Dillingham and was the daughter of Charles W. Shope and Bernice Kerr Shope.
She was also preceded in death by sisters; Vivian Burnette and Edith Stone.
She loved to do arts and crafts, with a favorite love for flowers. She knew where every greenhouse was located in Buncombe and surrounding counties, and even had a small greenhouse attached to her home.
Having no children of her own she became a Mother to many who knew her love. Her nieces and nephews to her were her children.
Burial will follow in the Riceville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
