He was born July 30, 1931, in Sandwich, IL to Marvin and Pearl (Alsager) Anderson. He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Anderson, his children Dale (Aly) Anderson, Jill (Brian) Schluntz, and Cathy (Mike) Roling, his son-in-law Jeff Corneils, stepchildren Ron (Kathy) Taylor, Rod (Sandra) Taylor and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Pearl Anderson, his first wife Beverly Anderson, his daughter Susan Jean Corneils, an infant son Roger Dale Anderson Jr. and his sister Marlene Gallup.
Roger worked for Seaboard Seed Company in Bristol for over 40 years until his retirement. He loved participating in car shows with his 1950 Ford. He graduated from Newark High School in 1949 and played on the varsity basketball team. He also participated in many men's basketball leagues in his early adult years. Roger enjoyed watching Cubs and Bulls games and attended many of them.
