Raymond Leroy Bunton, age 87, of Thomasville, passed away Monday July 31, 2023.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday August 11, 2023, at Midway Cemetery.

Raymond Bunton was born June 21, 1936, in McLeansville to the late Thomas and Vivian Bunton. He graduated from Bessemer High School and served his country in the National Guard. Raymond went on to serve in the Greensboro Police Department and retired after 30 years of service. He was also a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Alice Bunton, children Rick Bunton (Bonnie), Kathey Ng (James), and Tom Bunton (Denise), brother Butch Bunton, sister Mary Reid, and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers James Bunton, Howard Bunton, Garland Bunton, and Richard Bunton, and his sisters Mae Ward, Lillian Bunton, Dorothy Bunton, Betty Bunton and Martha Coleman.

Forbis and Dick, North Elm Street, served the Bunton family.
