Mr. Barnett was born July 4, 1860 in Viola, Wisconsin.
On May 12, 1886, in South Dakota, he married Nira E. Bender and to the union were born two daughters and a son, Mrs. Audrey Middleton, Tullulah, La; Mrs. Lenore Hill, Central Point, Oregon; and Chester Barnett, Pistol River, Oregon. His first wife died May 8, 1895.
In November 1896 he was married to Flora A. Hale in Oklahoma. To this union was born two sons and one daughter, Walter E.; John Day, Ore.; Theodore, Holbrook, AZ,; Mrs. Frances Weiss, Elgin, Ore. Mrs. Barnett died March 26, 1898.
In 1899 he came to Oregon and was married at Creswell August 10, 1906. to Gertrude Grousbeak. To this union was born three sons, Clifford, Boise; Melton, Baker, Oregon; and Gordon, Los Angeles.
All of his children survive and were present at the funeral services except Mrs. Middleton, Mrs. Hill and Theodore.
Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Moon Chapel with the Rev. A.H. Morton officiating. Vocal numbers were rendered by the Rev. and Mrs. Taylor. Internment followed in Pinecrest Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho.
