Devoted wife of Charles Rosenberg, and loving mother of Pete, Bill, Charlie + Becky, and grandmother of 7 who loved her. Margaret is also missed by the families of her 5 brothers, Frederick, Harold, Edward, Robert, and John Mangold who enjoyed family gatherings with lots of humor.

She and husband Charles raised 3 sons and a daughter in Poestenkill, Troy NY. They were admiring followers of the Roosevelts. They moved to Washingtonville when Cluett Peobody shirt company was bought by Arrow shirts. Retiring moved to Newburgh NY where she died. A wonderful cook and seamstress, she was always cheerful and dearly loved her family and brothers' families. A very kind hearted caring woman, she never said an unkind word. Her remarkable memory recalled details about her husband's distant cousins.

Margaret grew up in Brooklyn [1321 Halsey St] with her parents and 5 brothers. Her father Frederick William Mangold was born 1876 in Ohio of parents Martin Mangold. [born 1847 Württemberg Germany, immigrating 1870, died in Saginaw, Mich. after 1920] and "Tillie" Mathilda Miller [born abt.1858 in Ohio died after 1930 in E. Saginaw, Mich] his brother George b 1878. Grandfather Martin remarried 1895 Fredericka Landskroener Dettmar and had a son Stewart. In 1900 Fred was living with other bridge builders in Brooklyn where he married Mary having 6 children but in 1917 was working on the Elevated Subway in Manhattan when a beam fell and killed him. Her mother Mary Lloyd Mangold [b 1881in Wales immigrating in 1889] was a visiting Practical Nurse who lived with families after being widowed at 36 with 6 children, younger ones put in orphanages. Grandparents were John Frederick and Jane Lloyd. [I am searching for Mangold + Lloyd relatives.]

When her father died in 1917 Margaret was put in a foster home in Red Hook but reunited with her mother and brothers by 1930 in Poughkeepsie, where she was a finisher in a Neck Tie factory, mother a nurse and brothers cutter and presser at the Neck Tie factory. She loved sewing all her life in spite of difficult arthritis.
