Clair was the son of Edward and Catherine (Pfaff) Beilstein. He and his wife were married on May 25, 1953; she survives. Also surviving are two sons and two daughters-in-law, a daughter, a brother and sister-in-law, seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Kenneth Beilstein and Mary Kinder.
