Ruby R. Booth, 96, a resident of Harrison, formerly of Omaha, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at The Springs of Harrison.

She was born September 25, 1926, at Omaha, to William Samuel and Arvie Evelyn Windman Tharp. She worked in housekeeping for Skaggs Hospital in Branson for many years and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, her cats, and building snow men in the snow with her grandchildren. She attended the Branson Bible Church before moving to the nursing home, and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Booth; and a grandson, Larry Byerley.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Bud Byerley of Harrison; four grandchildren, Gary Byerley (Sandra) of Harrison, Tracy Byerley (Kathy) of St. Louis, Missouri, Jimmy Carter (Sandy) of Omaha, and Sue Ann Sowell (Rodney) of Tennessee; 15 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Holt Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Phillip C. Collie II officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Buck Duggan, Mike Blevins, Patrick Garrett, Dustin McAlister, and Blake McAlister. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of The Springs of Harrison, who had become her extended family.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
