Daughter of Alfred Lyon (1829 - 1915) and Amanda Jane (Barkley) Lyon (1840 - 1919). Married Milton Elmer Bailey on 17 Oct 1889 in Clayton, Norton Co, Kansas. Relocated to Douglas Co, Oregon, about 1926. From the Roseburg News-Review, 1 Apr 1943, Thu: "Mrs. L.R. Bailey Dies 2 Days Before Birthday--Mrs. Lueza Rosetta Bailey, 69, died late Wednesday at her home in Edenbower.
Born in Mitchell Co, Kansas, April 2, 1873, she had made her home in Edenbower for the past 17 years. Her husband, Milton E. Bailey, died nine years ago.
The following sons and daughters survive: H.A. and N.B. Bailey, Mrs. George Hoefer and Mrs. John Elliott, all of Roseburg; Mrs. A.E. Bjorklund, Kirkland, Wash.; Private First Class Russell Bailey, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. James Miller, Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs. Einer Smestad, Bremerton, Wash.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Assembly of God church.
The body has been removed to the Roseburg Undertaking company parlors. Arrangements for funeral services have not been completed."
