Kim M. Thiel, age 61, a resident of Howards Grove, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the family residence with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Krumel.
Kim was born on April 23, 1962 in Manitowoc. She is the daughter of Joan Ewald Krumel and the late Gary Krumel. Kim was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1980. She continued her education at Lakeshore Technical College for the following two years. Kim had been employed as a paralegal for Attorney Thomas VanHorn. On May 30, 1987 she married Terry A. Thiel at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. Kim enjoyed playing volleyball, following the Green Bay Packers and going to area casinos. She was a longtime collector of Barbie dolls.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, one son, one daughter, her mother, two brother, mother-in-law, along with other relatives and friends. (names omitted for privacy)
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the memorial service a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to a memorial fund being established in Kim's name.
