In 1910 she and James and their two children lived in a house they were renting in Ward 4 in Columbus. He worked as a jeweler. Also living with them was a 24-year-old servant, Marie Smith.

In 1920 she and her husband and their two sons lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, at 1633 Franklin Park South in Columbus. He worked as a jewelry manufacturer. Also living with them was a 25-year-old servant, Anna M Winston.
