Agnes was the daughter of John Lewis McDonald and Annie Lou Towns. She was educated in the Sumter County School System. She was employed with Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, Georgia as a Custodian for over 40 years. She was also employed with Cooper Lighting in Americus, Georgia for over 20 years. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Andersonville, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sylvia Towns, 1 step-daughter, Barbara Ross, a devoted friend, Joe Lewis Mable, 5 sisters, Joyce Ann Towns, Nettie Mae Towns, Frances McDonald, Carlean McDonald and Johnnie Mae Towns and 2 brothers, John Wesley Towns and Eddie Lewis McDonald.

Survivors:
1 Daughter: Annette Towns.
1 Son: Dennis Towns Sr(Syreta).
2 Step-Daughters: Lisa Barron and Mary McCants(Terry).
2 Step-Sons: Tony McCants(Demetria) and Curtis McCants(Pebbles).
3 Sisters: Willie Ann Towns, Jacqueline Spencer(James) and Annie Ruth Battle.
2 Brothers: Walter Lee Towns and Ricky McDonald.
6 Grandchildren: Shavia Towns, Deonte Fulks, Brittany Miles, Dennis Towns Jr, Dennisha Mable and Lakayla Towns.
7 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2PM in the Sanctuary of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Andersonville, Georgia.
