Obituary- Published in Battle Creek Enquirer Aug 6, 1994 Saturday page 2---Milo E. Lake Battle Creek- Milo E. Lake, 62, of Battle Creek died Friday Aug. 5, 1994 in Battle Creek Health System/Leila Site.
He was born Aug 18, 1932 to Guy and Ida (White) Lake.
Mr. Lake was a taxi driver for more than 40 years. He worked for the Yellow Cab Company and the Union Cab Company.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Independent Church of Christ in Hastings. He enjoyed his work and friends and family.
His first wife, Shirley I Hill died in 1979. On May 15, 1987, he married S. Faye Rouch. She survives.
Also survivng are a son Glenmont Lake of Florida and Milo Lake Jr. of Lansing; daughter Patricia Leonard of Hastings, Anna DeBrune of White Pigeon, Rebecca Lake of Charlotte, Michelle Lake and Kimberly Lake, both of Lansing and Sara Grant of Battle Creek; step daughters, Margery Southerland, Lori Lockmiller and Melissa MacGregor, all of Battle Creek; 35 grandchildren; sisters Hazel Antes of Battle Creek and Jessie Zak of Lincoln; and a special friend Wendell Lamars.
Visitation 2-9 pm today and 10 am -9 pm Sunday at Royal Funeral Home.
services 10:30 am Monday in Hicks Cemetery with Pastor Jim Sandusky and Elder Wendell Lamars officiating.
