Lois Mae Sylvester Schram-Cothern, 76, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Ocean Springs.

Ms. Cothern was born on August 28, 1946 in Biloxi, MS to Wallace Russell Sylvester, Jr. and Estelle Alberta Yarborough Decker. She graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and retired from AA Food Service on Keesler Air Force Base. Ms. Cothern enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras and especially spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Sylvester and Estelle Decker; and her siblings, Donald Sylvester, Bobbi Landry and Mary Ellen Norris.

Ms. Cothern's survivors include her children, William (Lee Anna) Schram, Janice (Marvin) Conn, Lynn (Thomas) Mann and Wallace (Lee) Schram; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Charles Martinez and Patrick Decker.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Kare-In-Home Hospice, Davita Dialysis Center, Southern MS Heart Center and Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. A reception will follow at the St. Michael Catholic Church Family Life Center.
