Corrine was born on October 4, 1932, in Kellnersville, WI. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Jirikovec) Lensmeyer. Corrine graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School in 1950, and was employed with Medusa Cement and Aitken Reed in Manitowoc. On July 18, 1959 she married Lawrence Swoboda at St. Joseph Catholic church in Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1967. She met and then married Erwin Dose on July 30, 1974. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2009.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church. Corrine loved spending extended time with her daughters, son-in-law and grandsons. She was a lifetime member of VFW Cato Post #6179 Women's Auxiliary, and spent many fun times laughing with the K-City Girls. After the unexpected death of Corrine's first husband, Lawrence, she courageously raised her three daughters in a home filled with love, music, laughter and family. Corrine was a remarkable wife and mother, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Corrine created beautiful tables for holidays and birthdays, was skillful in the kitchen and truly enjoyed having family visit. Many years were spent cheering for her daughters in both basketball and tennis, and taking them out of town for sporting events. Corrine's long-lasting love of music was lovingly passed along to her three daughters, and remains an important memory.
Survivors include Corrine's three daughters, Cathy (Allen) Krug, Bloomington, MN; Laurie Swoboda, Manitowoc, WI; and Mary Swoboda, Mendota Heights, MN; 2 grandchildren, Zeke Krug and Isaac Krug; Dose family stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as many other relatives and friends. She is also survived by Cayla Richardson, who is a treasured member of Corrine's extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Lensmeyer; Lawrence's parents, Joseph and May Swoboda; first husband, Lawrence Swoboda; second husband, Erwin Dose; brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and two stepsons, David Dose and James Dose; and by her special "angel" niece, Jean Braunel.
