Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Hudson Bryne (and the stepdaughter of John Byrne). In 1884, she married Albert Suplee Haley, Jr. (son of Albert Suplee Haley, Sr., and Jane Farrier). They resided in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania till the late 1890's and then resided in Hackensack, New Jersey. They had five children: William Frances, Mary Agnes , Nellie, Laura Veronica and Florence. She was a member of the Rosary Society of Holy Trinity Church and of the Lady Foresters, both in Hackensack.
