Pauline L. (Conner) Vassar, 92, formerly of 71 Merriam District, went to be with our Lord on November 6, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Henry A. Vassar for over 55 years when he died in 2005. She was the daughter of Raymond H. and Laura G. (Merriam) Conner. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1948.

She leaves a daughter, Sharon E. Cooper and her husband Calvin of Hildebran, NC; two sons, Gary C. Vassar and his wife Lisa of Needham, and Jeffrey D. Vassar and his wife Cheryl of Auburn; a sister, Joan Stevens of North Oxford; four grandchildren, Catherine Teague, Christopher Cooper, Sarah Valois, and Brian Montigny; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a caring and loving person with a dynamic personality. She was a life member at Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale. In her early years, she enjoyed camping with her family at Eastern Slopes Campground and later at Indian Ranch. She enjoyed playing her organ and piano, spending time with family and friends, crocheting, playing rummy, and coloring.

We love you. Remember. . . It's not "Goodbye," it's "See you later." Your loving family.

A private family service will be held on Saturday at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford. Interment will be at Gore Cemetery in North Oxford alongside her husband and parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, 674 Pleasant St., Rochdale, MA 01542, in lieu of flowers.
