In 1952, both sisters met U.S. Navy men stationed in London. They had a double wedding, which was featured in the local newspaper. After being stationed in various European countries, Josie and Orville eventually made it to the United States to live and raise their family in San Diego, CA.
Preceded in death by her husband Orville, her sister Irene Schwarz, and parents Walter and Florence Marlow.
Survived by her four children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held in October where Josie will be interred with her husband Orville at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
