She married her first husband, Frederick Ware, in December 1904, in London. She joined him in Lansing, Michigan, in 1909. Frederick worked in the local Auto Plant, and Cecilia was a housewife. Cecilia and their daughter traveled back to England in June, 1911, to visit their family. Frederick joined them in November. In April 1012, Frederick boarded the Titanic. He drowned on April 15, 1912. His body was never found.
Cecilia returned to the United States as a widow in December 1913, and returned to Lansing, Michigan.
On March 14, 1914, she married James C. Vincent. He was the brother-in-law of her first husband's best friend, Michael Devaney. Cecilia and Jim were the parents of 6 children. She lived at 315 S. Francis Street until her death on July 4, 1966. She is buried next to her husband, Jim, in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
