LOUISA BOETTGER ~ 83

Louisa Emma Matilda Boettger was born November 14, 1876 at Hinsdale, Ill., to Bruno and Fredericka Schneider Schuster, and died June 25, 1960 at the Memorial Home in Harlan at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 11 days.

On November 11, 1897 she was married to Frederick Boettger in Shelby, and to this union eight children were born.

In 1943 she moved to Harlan. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Alonz (Louise) Welsh of Crawfordville, Indiana, Mrs. Alfred (Marie) Struss of Harlan, William, Herman and Mrs. Roy (Frieda) Hansen, Walter of Shelby, and Mrs. Harold (Edna) Karstens of Avoca; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Alie Mikmak of Harlan, Mrs. Clark (Frieda) Noe of Hollywood, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; 1 son Fred; three brothers, Edward, Geo. and Alfred; and one sister, Sarah.

Services were held June 27, 1960 at the Immanuel Lutheran church with Pastor Lyle Paulsen officiating.

Pallbearers were Al Garrity, Richard Hansen, William Boettger, LeRoy Buck, Ronald Schuster, and Howard Schuster.

Burial was in Harlan cemetery.
