Artie Wilbur McGill, age 91, of Sedan, Kansas, died Sunday, November 26, 2000 at the Jane Phillips Memorial Hospital in Bartlesville, OK. He was born August 7, 1909 in Sedan to Milo Clayton and Josie (Minnifee) McGill. He was a Clerk.

On December 24, 1945 at Sedan, he and Violet Ettie Griffith were united in marriage. She preceded him in death on September 22, 1997.

Other survivors include one son, Wilbur M. McGill of Sedan, KS, two daughters, Heloise Sue McGill of Chautauqua, KS and Patsy Stipp of Neodesha, KS, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. in the Graves-Baird Chapel in Sedan, KS. Interment will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery, rural Sedan. Rev. Dois Nix of the Sedan First Baptist Church will officiate. Graves-Baird Funeral Home in Sedan is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials in his name, have been established with the Sedan First Baptist Church. Any contributions may be left at the funeral home.
