Obituary: Mrs. Cora Gardner, died after a Stroke, June 1. She suffered a stroke at 5:30 yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Cora Gardner died a few hours later at 8 o'clock at the family home 4 1/2 miles south of here. She was a daughter of Mr & Mrs Elijah Laymon and was born near Salem, April 5, 1877, and came to this community about 36 years ago. Her husband George Gardner died in 1913. She was a member of the Christian Church here. Surviving are 2 daughters and three sons. Mrs Elsie Robbins, McFreden, Wyo; Mrs Clara Tobias, of near here; Mr Arthur Gardner, of near here; and George and Ralph at home, with 3 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Catherine Casey of Remington. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 Monday afternoon at the Christian Church with a A Martindale, of Oxford officiating, interment in Remington Cemetery.
