Velmar Blanche Tabor, 87, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 10, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 11 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., with burial in Tolletts Chapel Cemetery. Bishop Omar Lawson and Jimmy Turner officiated.
Mrs. Tabor was born Sept. 17, 1914, in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of James L. and Charlotte Lawson Parrott.
She owned and operated Tabor's Fruit Market for more than 35 years.
Survivors include her sons, Zilvin Joe Tabor, Willard Glen Tabor and Benjamin "Ben" Tabor, all of Crossville; and 11 grandchildren in Tennessee and one grandchild in Alabama.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Tabor; and son, Kenneth David Tabor.
Pallbearers were Danny Wilson, Willard Tabor Jr., Joe Tabor, Jerry Wilson, Steve Tabor and Michael Parrott.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
