Douglas L. Lemke, 69, of Comstock died March 17 at his home. Graveside services were Wednesday Morning at Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating and military honors accorded by American-Thompson Post 98 American Legion of Cumberland.

Mr. Lemke was born March 10, 1939 in the Town of Bashaw to Martin and Etta (Schaal) Lemke. He served in the Air Force from 1956-1962 and married Bertha Walker in Racine on Sept. 25, 1957. Mr. Lemke worked for 3M for more than 30 years and had lived in the Comstock area since 1964.

He is survived by two brothers, Neil of Hot Springs, Ark., and Blaine of Racine; and a sister, Arlene Bodi of Hot Springs.
