Obituary from THE MORNING NEWS (BLACKFOOT, ID) - 14 AUGUST 2012:
Arthur T. "Art" Jordan, age 87, of Laurie, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Laurie Care Center.
He was born November 28, 1924, in Moreland, a son of Elijah A. and Mary S. Tanner Jordan.
On August 23, 1946, he was united in marriage to Freda C. Goodall, who preceded him in death on August 21, 1995.
Art worked in accounting and was a United States Navy veteran, serving from July 1944 to July 1946.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an avid bowler.
Art is survived by his sister, Elea Swenson of Sandy, Utah; his niece, Shirley Hamilton and husband, Kloyce of Topeka, Kansas; his sister-in-law, Gwen Jordan of Utah; his dear friends, Jeri and Jack Horvath of Laurie, Missouri and Judy Loeffel of Camdenton, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Graveside services and interment with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, in the Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach, Missouri Chapel.
