Docia Blake Martin, 95, died at 8:40 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, in a local hospital. Mrs. Martin was a native of Winn Parish and a graduate of Calvin High School. She attended Louisiana Normal College (now Northwestern State) in Natchitoches. She lived in Lake Charles for the past 58 years an was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband John Martin; and a son John Reed Martin. She was the last survivor of sixteen siblings.
