Frank C. Accardo was born on July 14, 1935 in Los Angeles and passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 88 in Lomita, California.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosalie "Roe" (Galatioto), his parents Pete and Josephine (Minchella) Accardo, and sister Rosalie Johnson. He is survived by his second wife Linda of Grants Pass, Oregon; his children, Gary (Mina) Accardo, Matthew (Paula) Accardo, Pam (Jeff) Edson, John (Sunny) Accardo, and Tony (Marina) Accardo; grandchildren Michelle, Vince (Brittney), Sebastien (Alla), Lorenzo, Jackson, Amelia, August and Asher Accardo, Sam and Jonathan Edson; and, great-grandchildren Caleb and Olivia Accardo. He also leaves behind his cousin Michael (Nancy) Minchella, nephew Jack (Sally) Graham and niece Debbie (Bob) Hudnall, and many other beloved family members and friends.

For 25 years, from 1961 until he retired in 1986, Frank proudly served as a Los Angeles City Fireman, rising to the position of Assistant to the Chief. He retired out of Fireboat #4, Station 49 in the Port of Los Angeles. In 1965, Frank also began a business venture, "Frank's TV Antenna Service" (later known as "Connect Television"). The family-run business ultimately grew through a DirectTV contract to encompass multiple states with thousands of employees.

Words to best describe Frank: "Definitely one of a kind." Faith filled, devout, meticulous, energetic, athletic, creative, brilliant, resourceful, and visionary. "A tender heart and a will inflexible" (St. Agnes High School Yearbook notation, 1953).

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 2 at 1:00pm at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church, 1900 S. Prospect Avenue, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. A lunch reception will follow at a private home.
