Thomas Bronston Collins, son of William Smith Collins and Mary Ann Bronston of
Richmond, died in Paris, France. Military: Capt. Collins, Company F 11th
Kentucky "Chenault's" Cavalry, CSA - Wounded at Greasy Creek, Kentucky May,
1863; Escaped with Colonel A R. Johnson at Buffington Island, Ohio by swimming
the Ohio River. Sent to Canada in the Confederate Secret Service and was one of
the 20 Confederate soldiers who made the celebrated "Bank Raid" at St. Albans,
Vermont.
