Ben C. Hoyl

HOBBS, N.M. (Staff) Funeral services for Ben C. Hoyl, 83, of Hobbs, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, N.M.

The body will remain at Steed-Todd Funeral Home until it is sent to Carter, Okla., for burial and graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The Rose Funeral Service of Sayer, Okla., near Carter, is in charge of the arrangements. The Griffin Funeral Home of Hobbs was in charge of local arrangements.

Hoyl, a livestock dealer who had lived in Hobbs for the past few months, died Thursday evening in Lea General Hospital after a short illness.

He was born Nov. 6, 1888 in Texas and lived in Beckham County, Okla. for a number of years before moving to Clovis in 1940.

Survivors include five sons, Ray Hoyl of Morton, John B. Hoyl of San Antonio, Leon and Denby Hoyl, both of Hobbs, and Bill Hoyl of Clovis; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Collins of San Angonio and Mrs. Joy Cason of Shreveport, La.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
