Dr. Bailey's Funeral to be Held From His Home
Burial of Prominent Kanawha County Physician to be Made in Family Cemetery

Funeral services for Dr. D.V. Bailey, who passed away yesterday at his home in Poca district of pneumonia, which set in following an attack of influenza, will be made from the residence. Burial will take place in the family cemetery.

Dr. Bailey was born and raised in Kanawha County. He received his medical education in Louisville, Kentucky. After finishing college, he returned to Poca and practiced until a short while before his death. He was a member of Glendale Lodge No. 78 of the Knights of Pythias. He was 58 years old.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Albert and Monroe Bailey; two sisters, Mrs. John Clendenin of Charleston and Mrs. Alaxander Withrow. He had no children.

Has Pneumonia Attack 17 Times Before End

It was learned today that Doc D.V. Bailey, had pneumonia 17 times during his life of 58 years before he finally succumbed to that disease. He was taken ill several days ago with double pneumonia and died yesterday afternoon. He was well known throughout the county.
