Graveside services for Mrs. Pearl Duncan Horner, age 98, will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Bowers Chapel Cemetery.

Pearl Horner of the Gibson Wells Community, Trenton, TN passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2023. She would have celebrated her 99th birthday in 3 weeks, on June 6. She was a lifelong Christian, attending Christian Chapel Church of Christ for the past 60 years and Alamo Church of Christ prior to that. She was the proud wife of a farmer prior to working and retiring from Kellwood Co. in Alamo.

She was the daughter of Forrest and Ophelia Duncan, originally from Baldwin, Mississippi. She was born in the Gibson Wells Community not far from her home for the past 75 years. She married Jessie Horner on April 6, 1941. They had 62 wonderful years together prior to his death in 2003. They enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Gail Jackson (Tim); a sister, Mildred Bass and a twin brother Earl Duncan.

Those left to honor her memory are her children; Larry Horner(Carolyn)of Gibson Wells and Janet Greene (James Albert) of Trenton, TN; grandchildren Scott Horner (Temple) of Lakeland, Tn., Lora Volner (Jeff) of Lexington, Tn., and DeAnna Elgin(Charlie) of Olathe, Kansas, great grandchildren; Emily Horner, Spencer Horner, Ellen Haskins(P.J.), Jennie Beth Phelan(Dustin), Beau Jackson(Kylie), Ty Volner, Hunter Elgin and Miranda Elgin, and great-great grandchildren; Jake Haskins, Greyson Haskins, Peyton Haskins, Pete Jackson and Amelia Jackson.
