OWEN E. PATTENGILL

Owen E. Pattengill, age 89, of Lake, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. He was born the son of Ernest and Elizabeth (Ruby) Pattengill on March 16, 1914 in Henpeck, MI. Owen married Ruth Taylor on August 10, 1933, in Garfield Township, and she survives him. He retired from the Shipping Department of General Motors in Flint and was a member of UAW 598 of Flint, AFL/CIO Flint, the Clare Moose Lodge and was a life member of the Knights of Pithias in Eagle Harbor, MI.

Owen is survived by his wife Ruth; three daughters Marlene Woznick of Grand Rapids, Sharon Donnovan of Yuma, AZ and Cynthia (Dewey) Handy of Flushing Township. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Ione Tiedeman in 1976, a son-in-law Arthur Woznick in 2001, and his sisters Ruby Norton and Edith Montle.

A memorial service has been planned for Monday, January 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare. (The Clare County Review – Clare, MI – 23 January 2004)
