Jay Kyle Perrin, 91, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Lee Elmore Perrin and Mary Perrin. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Perrin, and a son, Fred Perrin.
Kyle earned his Doctor of Education, where he enjoyed a career teaching in public schools and college, later becoming a University Dean and Vice President.
He served as an international missionary in Japan for the Southern Baptist International Mission Board. And was involved with the prison ministry after returning to the states.
He was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Johnson Perrin; a son, Paul Perrin (Rosemary) Florissant, MO, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at Great Bridge Baptist Church, 640 Battlefield Blvd, South, Chesapeake. The interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
