Shirley Ann Ferry, 92 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. Shirley was born on October 16, 1930, in Perry Heights, the 2nd daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen (Zimmer) Rose. She was a long-time resident of the area and a 1949 graduate of Washington High School, where she was member of the famous Massillon Tiger Swing Band. Shirley returned to Massillon having lived in McKenzie, TN for 29 years with her husband Raymond Ferry who worked for Republic Steel. While in McKenzie, Shirley was a devoted employee of Metropolitan Life and Tri-County Home Health Care. Shirley was also a member of Holy Cross Catholic church in Paris Tennessee.

Shirley loved her daughter Beth and son Chip. She was the happiest when her home was filled with the people she loved most. During her last years in Massillon, Shirley was active in Card Clubs, the Women's Condo Group, and Tiger Football. She also enjoyed going out to lunch and dinner with her brother-in law Raymond (Corky) Derr. Shirley was an avid puzzle solver, Candy Crush player and enjoyed connecting on Facebook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ferry whom she shared 49 years of marriage, and sister Darlene Derr.

She is survived by her children, Beth (Mark) McClure of The Villages, Florida, and Chip (John) McCain of Hilliard, OH; sister, Donna Lautzenheiser; and many relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday September 10, 2023 at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a prayer service to be performed at 3:45pm . Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
