Mrs. Gadd was born in Grant County to the late Leroy and Lula (Jamison) Wilson.

She married Jesse W. Smith, who preceded her in death in 1974. She then married Noah Gadd, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2002. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, and the RCA Sympathy Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice (William) Spaulding, Fairmount, and Phyllis (William) M. Fihe, Marion; a sister, Millie Jean Young, Lavonia, Mich.; grandchildren, Sue (Donovan) Epling, Evansville, Debra (Patrick) Smith, Avon, Kathy Harrell and Wayne (Traci) Harrell, both of Marion, and John Harrell, Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Daniel and John Epling, Jesslynn and Corbin Smith, and Dustin and Dylan Harrell. The family would like to acknowledge their extended families at Ryan's Restaurant, New Hope Hospice, and Colonial Oaks Healthcare.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; brothers, Wilbur and Ward Wilson; sisters, Ruth Ann, Dorothy, Louise, and Mabel's twin sister Mae Griffith.
