A. E. (Gene) Owens, 56, Depew, Ok. A Drilling Superintendent for the Nabob Oil Co. and a former Tulsan passed away Sunday in a Tulsa Hospital after a 20- month illness.
A Nabob Oil Co. employee 20 years, he had lived in Depew about 15 years. He was born at Guthrie and came to Tulsa when 13 years old. He attended Missouri Military Academy, Mexico, and was graduated from Central High School, Tulsa.
Surviving are the Widow, Mildred; two sons, Rex Owens, and Jerry Owens, Denver, Co.;
three brothers, O. O. Owens, of the Alvin Hotel; C. E. Owens, 1434 S. Frisco Ave; and Ross G. Owens, 1602 E. 2nd St; and two sisters, Mrs. Maurine Borne', and Thaymer Hailey.
Stanley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 12-18-61. He passed away from Multiple Myeloma. He was my Father, I was 15 yrs.
old when he passed away. Our Dachshund puppy (Humphrey) is pictured with Dad.
