Uncle Jack was the son of John Robert & Della Nancy Woodruff Clark. Uncle Jack "Big John" was very loved by my mother, although he sometimes picked on her as a child, and she told me that she was Jack locked her in a chest and left her there until her mother found her. She hated small places ever since then, especially if there were no windows. They both loved to dance and at parties would always dance together as my dad and Aunt Evelyn never seemed to want to dance. Uncle Jack hit the table at my sister's wedding and the cake almost fell over and it appears to be leaning in all the pictures. We used to go to his house for Thanksgiving dinner and all I can remember is that he made chestnut dressing which everyone, except me, thought was wonderful. One time when I wasn't old enough to drive, I remember he gave his car keys to us kids and told us to take a spin around the block. He loved to recite and is on tapes at family gatherings.

He was married three times, Emily Murray, Vera Baker and Evelyn Thompson Clark who is buried by his side.
