Brenda Sue Parish Fowler, age 71, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, September 15, 2023, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with her brother-in-law, Rob Bridwell, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Brenda was born October 4, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Otis Guy Parish and Willie Sue Ball Parish.
She and Ernest Douglas Fowler, Sr. were married July 2, 1984 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2020.
Brenda was a hard worker throughout her life. She made a career working in various meat markets in the area. Brenda began her career as a Meat Wrapper in the 1960's at Coy's Market in Frederick, Oklahoma. She then went on to work at King's Food in Iowa Park and Wichita Falls, before eventually working for Albertson's for over fifteen years.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family time spent playing cards, boating at the lake or just sitting and visiting were among some of her favorite things to do. Brenda and her sister-in-law, Kay, also enjoyed traveling together. They took many trips including cruises to Jamaica and Cancun, a trip to Cozumel, floating the river and to see the Alamo. She was also an avid Texas Longhorns fan.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Ann Cryer of Wichita Falls; three sons, Carl Otis Duggins of Wichita Falls, Ernest Douglas(Doug) Fowler, Jr. and wife, Kimbra of Iowa Park, and Dustin Guy Fowler of Iowa Park; one sister, Judy Renee Bridwell and husband, Rob of Plainview, Texas; one brother, Guy Allen Parish and wife, Sharon of Plainview, Texas; one sister-in-law, Clara Kay Worley of Punkin Center; five grandchildren, Kayla Cryer, Carly Duggins, Brentlie Fowler, Carolyn Fowler and Colton Fowler; one great-grandson, Carter Hastings; two aunts, Shirley Abbott and Letha Batis; one uncle, Tommy Ball; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Alva(TA) Parish on March 3, 2011.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Brenda's Healthcare Team, Chevon Urbanek, NP-C, Dr. Bruce Palmer and Dr. Rafael Rivera. Their loving care gave the family ten more precious years with her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
