Jackson Greer Price, 19, of McComb, died April 8, 2008, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation is 3:30 p.m. today at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in McComb until funeral Mass at 5:30 p.m. Father Bill Henry will officiate. A sunset burial will be in the family cemetery, under the direction of Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb.
Jackson was born Jan. 3, 1989, in Jackson, to Jack Greer Price and Mary Eileen Gravois Price.
He was a 2007 graduate of North Pike High School and attended Southwest Mississippi Community College.
His family said, "Jackson was an avid reader who loved music. He played guitar and bass and was a member of different bands. A fun-loving person with a quick wit, Jackson also was sensitive to others with a servant's heart. He was thoughtful, philosophical and wise beyond his years. Jackson Greer Price was a kind soul. To know Jackson was to love Jackson. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by family and many, many friends."
Jackson was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.C. Price Jr. and Edna Merle Brabham.
Survivors include his parents; one daughter, Samantha Marie Price; two brothers, Will Price of Kodiak, Alaska, and John-Paul Price of McComb; four sisters, Maria, Anna, Mary Margaret and Teresa Price, all of McComb; his grandparents, Lester and Lucille Gravois of Thibodaux, La.; godparents, Jean G. Lyons and Denis Gravois of Thibodaux; many relatives and countless friends.
Pallbearers will be Will Price, John-Paul Price, Blake Giles, Jamison Jones, Chris Richard and Zack Whittington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Price, Mark Gravois, Paul Brenner, Dax Marshall, Justin McDaniel and Will Thomas.
