Age 68 years, 11 months, and 21 days, He was a US Army veteran, upon his honorable discharge he worked for the Nike AMB as a K-9 Patrol Officer. He then joined the Hazel Crest, Illinois Police Department in 1964, he rose thru the ranks starting as Patrolman, he was also a K-9 Officer finally attaining the rank of Police Chief in 1974. During his time as Chief, he had the color scheme of the fleet cars changed to black and silver(Chiefs were allowed to pick the colors of the cars) those colors are still in use today. He retired after 31 yrs on the department, he lived in Henderson, NV. where he passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2008, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marie Drennen of Illinois and Mildred Brantley of Florida, he is survived by his wife of 45 years Debi, daughter Shawn Brock, son Dustin, brother Cecil Moore of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Jacqueline Gutekunst of Sauk Village,Ill, and sister Marionita Bassett of Glencoe,Mn.
