Hazel Beatrice SHATSWELL Hembree born July 20, 1920, at Farris, OK, to Myrtle Bell and Joseph Richard Shatswell, passed away January 3, 2000 at her home.
She married my great great uncle Harmon Hembree, September 17, 1938 at Farris, OK.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harmon Hembree, Sr. of the home, three sons, Eldon of the home, Elvin Leon of Del City, Harmon, Jr., and wife Sinda of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, Stanton, Robbie, Bret, Blayne, Christy, and Tiffany; two sisters, Ruby Alexander, and Dorthy Shadid; two brothers, J. T. and L. D. Shatswell; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded by one grandson, Ricky Gerald Hembree in Sept. 1993.
Throughout her life she seemed to take on a role to help anyone in need. She gave new meaning to motherhood. She always gave love, understanding, and most of all, unconditional love to all her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Gone but not forgotten, and someday we will all be together again in Heaven. Services will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday Jan. 6, 2000 at the Baggerley-South Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma.
