JAMES LEE BLYTHE
James Lee Blythe, 66, of Lisbon, died May 2, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of complications following surgery.

He was born to Jerry and Lillian Blythe, on Aug. 30, 1929, in Hale. He married Darlene Stolte on July 8, 1951, in Stanwood. Mr. Blythe was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mount Vernon. He graduated from Martelle High School and served in the
armed forces during the Korean War. He farmed near Martelle, retiring in 1990, served as a 4-H leader, was a 4-H committeeman and served on the Jones County Fair board for many years.
Besides his wife, Darlene, he leaves three sons, Craig of Springville, David and Bob of
Mount Vemon; five grandchildren; three sisters, Velda Mallie and Shirley Roberg, of Anamosa, and Betty Ellison of Onslow; and a brother, John Blythe of Anamosa.
He was preceded by his parents and a brother. Services were at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church, Mount Vernon. Burial is in Lisbon Cemetery. A memorial fund has been
